You are exactly the same person. Your colors will most certainly be the same. With that said, your scents will be somewhat different since you spend time with different people though unless he has been altered somehow his base scent shouldn't have changed from your own.

We're not exactly the same person. Not even physically. Though the differences there are, well, hidden beneath clothing as it were. I'll be interested to hear what you have to say on the scent, when you meet him. I'm sure you will, sooner or later. I do like to think I'm a bit more charming.

You realize that I am not a scientist, correct? As far as I am aware, unless something had happened to one of you, you will smell the same.

He's been in another world - a different place. He'll have the smells of that place on him, not this one. One of the reasons I'm curious on the scent. If that will make much of a difference or not to you.

Let me use this as an example. You have two apples. Both look exactly alike on the surface and smell the same. You leave one at home and take the other throughout your day. When you return home the apple will carry the scent of the outside world and will have different marks and bruises from travel.

However they will still taste and smell the same if you bite into them. So unless one of those apples has been altered, perhaps with an injection of wine for example, there won't really be a difference to the scenes without closer inspection.

Both of you will smell exactly the same save for some location differences which fade all too quickly. What I'm asking is, has something happened to change his base sent that makes him also Jim Kirk?

Well, I don't rightly know yet. I think we've both kind of avoided to many direct comparisons so far. Oh, he'll probably smell a lot like another man - Victor Frankenstein. They're engaged.
